The artist's sketchbook can be as straight-forward as the execution of ones surroundings or as profound as the birthing of ideas. Certainly, the sketchbook can be without boundaries or rules, a truly exciting place to visit. It can act as a portal to the inner workings of the mind, a trespass to the soul. The sketchbook can be sublime or base. Regardless, it is an adventure and a prelude to the artist's workshop. So climb aboard. My sketchbook awaits you.
Sharla Valeski is an artist and designer working in various media such as acrylic, graphite, fabric and paper.
